Bucket Wheel Dewatering System
The Bucket Wheel is the most efficient system on the market for dewatering any pumped slurry. It handles the high volume and surges encountered in dredging without losing the fine sand. The power used to drive the Bucket Wheel is exceptionally low, as little as 25% of what conventional sand screws require, because the wheel rotates at only 1.2 rpm and has minimal drag. For example, the Model 400FS Bucket Wheel can handle 700 tph of material using only 50 hp.

Efficient conversion to conveyor feed from dredge feed: use a Bucket Wheel
to dewater the slurry and convey to the plant.
• No double handling. Sand goes from dredge to stockpile in one operation. The Bucket Wheel eliminates draining and re-handling.
• No booster pumps. Use a Bucket Wheel instead and replace the long pipelines with conveyors. This saves money; dry material is cheaper to transport.
• Semi-portable design. The skid-mounted Bucket Wheel needs only a level concrete pad. The wheel is easily moved because of its simple, lightweight design.
• Surge Piles. There are many reasons for producing surge piles. No other system does this as economically.
• Silica sand, abrasive and very fine. The Bucket Wheel handles both problems very well.
• The Bucket Wheel produces more using less power.
• Because of its high water capacity the Bucket Wheel washes out
silt yet retains the fines.
